Orientations are mandatory for all families interested in fostering or adopting children. An orientation session explains county policies, the licensing and certification process, and the types of children who need families. Prospective parents will have the opportunity to ask questions about the foster care and adoption licensing processes.

There is no childcare available at San Mateo county orientations. Couples/partners are requested to attend an orientation together.
